そこを出発点としてデザインが生まれ、パターンを起こし、縫製仕様を整えていく。
我々の物作りにおいてこの一連の流れはとても大切なプロセスです。


中でも季節やシーズンによってデザインがそれほど変わることのないパンツに関しては、より緻密な設計がなされているように思います。


今回はそんなURUの物作りのベースとなるようなパンツ2型のご紹介です。


まずはメルトン素材を使用したワイドパンツ。

本来タフなチノ素材で作られることが多いワークパンツのディテールを採用しつつ、ステッチワークを極力抑え上品な見え方を意識した1本。

体にフィットするようウエスト周りは若干コンパクトに、そしてわたりから下は迫力のある太いシルエットに調整したメリハリの効いたバランスが特徴です。

通常のメルトン仕上げとは異なり、オリジナルの工程を通して製作した軽い質感のメルトン素材は、あまり柄を主張しない無地ライクな配色に拘ったグレンチェック柄に仕上げました。



そしてツイード素材を使用したタックパンツ。

ブランドの定番型として長いシーズン継続して作り続けてきたこのパンツは、深くとったフロントのタックと、テーパードを効かせたシルエットが特徴で、カジュアルにもドレスにも対応できる汎用性の高さが魅力。

股上や裾周りの寸法を調整することにより、デザインはもちろん機能性も完備した安心感のあるパンツです。

素材は従来のツイードよりも糸本数を減らし、さらに織密度を変えあまく織り上げたライトな質感のウール生地を開発。

縮絨工程にも工夫をこらし、肌触りの良いツイード生地に仕上げました。



今回もブランドにとっての基本のサイクルを丁寧に回して作られたパンツ。
それは生地を織る職人さんへのリスペクトがあってのことです。

This time, we are pleased to introduce two styles of pants that embody the foundation of URU’s craftsmanship.


"Wide Pants in Melton Fabric"

Adopting the details of work pants that are traditionally made from sturdy chino fabric,
this pair is designed with refined restraint — minimizing visible stitching to achieve an elegant appearance.

The waist is slightly compact to create a closer fit, while the leg line is boldly wide from thigh to hem,
resulting in a distinctive, well-balanced silhouette.

The original melton fabric, developed through URU’s own process, offers a surprisingly light texture.
The understated glen check pattern, with its almost solid appearance, reflects our focus on quiet sophistication.


"Tucked Pants in Tweed Fabric"

A long-standing signature piece of the brand,
these pants feature deep front tucks and a tapered silhouette that make them versatile enough to wear both casually and formally.

By fine-tuning the rise and hem width, we’ve ensured not only beautiful design but also comfort and practicality.

The tweed fabric was specially developed — woven with fewer yarns and a looser density than conventional tweed,
resulting in a lighter, softer wool texture.
Through a carefully adjusted fulling process, we achieved a fabric with a gentle, pleasant touch.


Both pairs are crafted through a deliberate and respectful cycle —
a process that reflects our appreciation for the artisans who weave each fabric.
